Three years ago, Katherine “Kat” Gooding went to be with Jesus. All who knew Katherine knew her as a vibrant soul with a beautiful smile who loved life, yoga, peanut butter, Jesus, sunflowers, and being kind. Each year on Katherine’s heaven anniversary, her friends and family celebrate “Kind Like Kat” day, where they go out into their communities and participate in acts of kindness just as Katherine would.
This year, we decided to put together a fundraiser with the help of Little Words Project to donate to Atlanta Youth Tennis & Education Foundation in Katherine’s honor. The chosen word for Katherine’s bracelet is “wholeheartedly”, as all those who followed her on Instagram, knew and loved her knew about her intent to live a wholehearted life in each and every way.
Atlanta Youth Tennis & Education Foundation (AYTEF) is a non-profit 501 (c)(3) organization that aims to enrich the lives of under-resourced youth through tennis and education. AYTEF offers free and low-cost programs near Title I schools with high concentrations of students from low-income homes. AYTEF values character development, academic achievement, healthy lifestyles, community engagement, inclusive culture, and enjoyment for all.
Little Words Project will donate 25% of proceeds from Kat’s “wholeheartedly” bracelet to AYTEF.
